Kazakhstan is the first team to qualify for the BJK Cup Finals
The BJK Cup Finals will take place in Shenzhen in September, right after the US Open. Two countries are automatically qualified: Italy, the defending champion, as well as China, the host nation.
For the remaining spots, 18 teams are competing to secure the six available places. The format consists of six groups, each with three teams, where only the top team advances.
Kazakhstan is the first country to qualify. Elena Rybakina and Yulia Putintseva delivered flawless performances to defeat Australia and then Colombia, with Putintseva winning 6-2, 6-1 followed by 6-0, 6-1, and Rybakina securing victories of 6-3, 7-6 and 6-1, 6-2.
