Khachanov First to Qualify for Wimbledon Quarterfinals
Karen Khachanov is the first player in the men's singles draw at Wimbledon to secure a spot in the quarterfinals. The Russian defeated Kamil Majchrzak with a score of 6-4, 6-2, 6-3.
He ended the impressive run of the Polish player, who had notably eliminated Matteo Berrettini in the first round and Arthur Rinderknech in the third round.
Khachanov becomes the first player born in the 1990s to qualify for the quarterfinals multiple times at both Roland-Garros (2019 and 2023) and Wimbledon (2021, 2025).
In the quarterfinals, Khachanov will face either Taylor Fritz or Jordan Thompson.
