Khachanov motivated for the end of the season: "I want to finish Top 10 and qualify for the ATP Finals"

Karen Khachanov arrived at the ATP 250 tournament in Almaty as the defending champion. Speaking at a press conference, the Russian outlined his ambitions for the end of the 2025 season.
"The goals are set and remain the same. I wanted to finish the year in the Top 10 and try to reach the ATP Finals. I keep that in mind: it's a matter of focus.
It's one thing to have a goal and work hard to achieve it, but it's another to go all out and not take time for yourself because you really want to achieve it.
You have to find the right balance between setting goals and not putting too much pressure on yourself. The last tournaments haven't been a complete success, but at the same time, tennis is so unique that you have the chance to turn everything around every week.
You understand where you stand, what you're missing, and why there have been very close matches that ended in defeats. I might be tired in general, mentally and physically, because I played a lot on clay, without interruption, until the end of the summer.
I also have to keep in mind that sooner or later, inevitably, a slight dip in form will occur."
Khachanov will make his debut in Almaty against Jan-Lennard Struff or Mackenzie McDonald.
