Kokkinakis on his partnership with Kyrgios: "It's always a bit of a circus when we play together".
Thanasi Kokkinakis and Nick Kyrgios will once again be playing Australian Open doubles together.
They won the prestigious Australian tournament in 2022, in a 100% Australian final against Matthew Ebden and Max Purcell.
Thanks to this success, the two friends qualified for the ATP Finals in doubles, where they were eliminated in the group phase.
Kokkinakis commented on the reunion: "It's going to be fun. It's always a bit of a circus when we play together, especially three years ago.
It's just crazy. We haven't set foot on a court since we played the ATP Finals, which was cool.
It's always a unique experience to play with him.
Obviously, his tennis speaks for itself. When we're together, we'll say anything.
We'll see. As I said, three years ago, we didn't expect this.
The momentum carried over and it was fun. I don't know, it'll be hard to repeat that result, that's for sure.
I think everyone will be very keen to take us on and beat us in the first round or whenever. But I'm excited."
