Korda comes back against Arnaldi to advance to the second round in Barcelona

Down a set and a break, Korda rallied past Arnaldi (3-6, 6-3, 6-2) to secure his spot in the second round of the Barcelona tournament. Plagued by injuries in recent years, the American has recently regained form in Miami (losing in the quarterfinals to Djokovic).

Eliminated in the first round of Monte-Carlo by Lehecka (6-3, 7-6), Korda headed to Catalonia, where he hadn’t played since his 2022 loss to Taberner.

Currently ranked 24th in the world, the 24-year-old will face the winner of the match between Tsitsipas and Opelka.
