Krejcikova defeated in the 3rd round in New York

The winner of the last Wimbledon is already out of the running at the US Open. Barbora Krejcikova fell to Elena-Gabriela Ruse, a confident qualifier.

After conceding the first set, the Czech served to level the score at 5-3, but ended up losing 4 consecutive games to lose (6-4, 7-5) in less than two hours.
