Another disappointment for Garcia

Nothing is going right for Caroline Garcia. With her confidence at an all-time low and her shoulder still bothering her, the Frenchwoman suffered a crushing defeat in the first round of the US Open on Tuesday (6-1, 6-4).
Faced with Mexico's Renata Zarazua, ranked a lowly 92nd in the world, the French No.1 seemed unable to compete in just about every area of the game.
Lacking percussion in the rallies, committing a huge number of errors and serving particularly poorly, Garcia logically lost the match and sank deeper than ever into crisis.
The 30-year-old is now going to have to pull herself together, as the situation is really starting to look worrying: since Roland Garros, she has won just two matches.
