Collins out in the 1st round of her last US Open!
A surprise at Louis Armstrong Stadium as Danielle Collins fell in the 1st round of what was to be her last US Open. It was also her last Grand Slam tournament, as she will be retiring at the end of the season.
The American, ranked 11th in the world, dominated the early stages of the match, before losing out to her compatriot Caoline Dolehide. In the end, she lost in just under 3 hours and 3 sets (1-6, 7-5, 6-4).
