Kyrgios Calls Out Sinner: "Am I Supposed to Believe He Knew Nothing About the Physio's Situation? Come On!"
Signed up for the doubles draw at Roland-Garros, Kyrgios will share the court with Jordan Thompson. The Australian hasn’t played since his loss in Miami against Khachanov. In the meantime, he spoke on *The Changeover* podcast. Among other topics, he addressed the Sinner affair, which had shaken the tennis world. According to him, the Italian bears significant responsibility for his suspension:
"He’s the world number one. Do you really believe he’d hire a physiotherapist who carries an uncovered scalpel in his bag, accidentally cuts himself with it, and then gives him a massage without protection? He pays this person hundreds of thousands of dollars and trusts them completely.
Tennis players like Sinner are extremely strict and professional—they don’t even take a sip of alcohol, they take the utmost care of themselves. Am I supposed to believe he knew nothing about the physio’s situation? Come on!"
For context, Sinner’s physiotherapist is believed to have accidentally caused the player’s Clostebol contamination.
