Kyrgios reacts to the Max Purcell case: "How ridiculous is this suspension?"
Max Purcell has been suspended for 18 months following an infraction related to exceeding the permitted doses of intravenous vitamin infusions. He will be allowed to compete again starting June 12, 2026.
The 27-year-old player responded to the sanction in a statement: "The ITIA has acknowledged that my infusion exceeding 100 ml was unintentional. I have accepted the mistake I made and will be more diligent in ensuring everything complies with the integrity of the sport."
Already critical of the Sinner case, Kyrgios once again reacted and spoke out on X about the Australian's situation:
"Honestly, but how ridiculous is Purcell’s suspension? Vitamins? Can we really justify this? Or can we just admit the whole system has failed?"

Sinner gets 3 months suspension during a slow period missing no Grand Slams.......... for drugs.
Purcell gets 18 months suspension...... for vitamins.
