Kyrgios to make competitive comeback in Brisbane
Nick Kyrgios, absent from the courts since his last match in Stuttgart in June 2023, will be making his return to Brisbane, a preparatory tournament for the Australian Open. The Australian had been sidelined by knee, foot and wrist injuries.
Kyrgios is delighted with the news: "The Brisbane tournament has always been a great event and I have incredible memories there, especially when I won it in 2018. I feel fit and healthy. I'm excited to be making my return to tennis, after a period of absence.
I've travelled a long road of recovery to be where I am today. One of my goals was to play during the Australian summer. I'm delighted to be starting in Brisbane, one of my favorite tournaments."
The ATP 250 Brisbane tournament runs from December 29 to January 5.
