However, thanks to withdrawals, the Frenchman entered the main draw as a lucky loser. On Wednesday, he faced Christopher O’Connell, another player struggling for form.
Mannarino secured a convincing victory with a score of 6-1, 6-3 against the Australian. In the next round, he will face Daniil Medvedev.
