Mannarino humiliated by the world's 530th-ranked player in Nouméa!

Mannarino humiliated by the world's 530th-ranked player in Nouméa!

Could there be a worse way to kick off the 2024 season?

Number one seed and logical favorite to win the Nouméa Challenger 100, Adrian Mannarino was knocked out in the first round.

Faced with Japan's Yusuke Takahashi, ranked 530th in the world, the Frenchman played a match of rare weakness, losing in just over an hour to an opponent 464 places ahead of him in the rankings (6-3, 6-0).

With a Round of 16 match to defend at the Australian Open, the situation is clearly becoming critical for the veteran Frenchman.
