Mannarino reassures himself in Beijing
Adrian Mannarino seems to be on the road to victory.
After endless weeks of doubt, the Frenchman had already begun to play better last week in Chengdu, losing only to Lorenzo Musetti in the quarter-finals (6-2, 5-7, 6-2).
Entering Beijing this week, the 30-year-old didn't have an easy first round, as he had to contend with the ever-dangerous Lorenzo Sonego.
Mannarino didn't let his opponent's enthusiasm get the better of him, however, and gradually regained control of the match to win in just under 2 hours. (1-6, 6-2, 6-3).
The experienced winner will face the winner of the duel between Monfils and Medvedev in the second round.
