The announcement of Iga Swiatek's suspension for a month following a positive test obviously caused quite a stir on the tennis planet.
But, as in the case of Jannik Sinner, it's the fact that this information has been passed over in silence over the last few weeks that has caused so much displeasure.

Journalist Benoît Maylin agreed, denouncing a lack of transparency: "Above all, don't bother the top players.
Swiatek was suspended from 09/22 to 10/04 (we fools thought she was resting), then allowed to play in the Masters and BJK Cup, then re-suspended until 12/04 (a week short).
Magical! And what an image! Merry Christmas..."
