Medjedovic on the Next Gen Masters: "I have some really incredible memories here".
Hamad Medjedovic won the Masters Next Gen in 2023. He has been invited to the 2024 edition, but not as a player, as the tournament is reserved for under-21s.
The Serb was interviewed by ATP on the occasion of the event. He talks about his great experience: "I have some really incredible memories here, perhaps the best of my life.
Once I arrived, I felt incredibly good, reliving those memories from last year.
It's a bit strange not to be playing (this year), but I'm really happy to be here. I liked the place, the crowd and the game format, it was a bit different. I enjoyed everything about the tournament."
Medjedovic was also asked about his 2024 season and his expectations for 2025. He says: "I have a bit more confidence and feel better, but nothing has really changed.
I continued to train and play as best I could, and then I found my rhythm again. I had a hard time at the beginning of the year with the viruses, but once I'd recovered, I started training again and everything fell back into place.
I want to stay healthy and fit all season, I hope. I don't want to set myself any particular goals, like being in the Top 100, Top 50 or whatever, I just want to be fit and healthy and see what I can do."
