Medvedev, a champion in love: "It's just life with her that's beautiful"
As he prepares to take on Jannik Sinner in the quarter-finals of the US Open this Wednesday (not before 3am), Daniil Medvedev opened up about one of the reasons for his success: his wife, Daria Medvedev.
In a statement relayed by L'Équipe, he explains: "Every time she's here, I'm calmer.
She's done a lot for my success, in different areas. It's just life with her that's magnificent.
I play better thanks to her and she means a lot to me.
Now that we have a daughter, she travels a little less, but as soon as she's here, I often play well.
After that, it's not the only recipe for winning, is it?"
