Winning all his matches with great authority, he was not much challenged by De Minaur, with the exception of the 2nd set, which he almost lost against the run of play.
Highly effective on serve, impactful on return and appropriately aggressive in the exchange, Draper left nothing to the world number 10, who was never really able to exist, despite a burst of pride in the second set (6-3, 7-5, 6-2).
For an unthinkable place in the final, he will face the winner of what seems more than ever to be the final before its time, the match between Sinner and Medvedev.
