Medvedev apologized to chair umpire Adel Nour: "I went too far"

Daniil Medvedev lashed out vehemently at chair umpire Adel Nour during his quarter-final in Dubai, following a warning for unsportsmanlike conduct.
Implying that the chair umpire had warned him because of his nationality ('Double standards against Russians'), the world No. 6 admitted in a press conference that he regretted his remarks:
"I went too far. We talked after the match. I've known this chair umpire for a long time and it's not because of him. All chair umpires don’t care about where you're from or who you are.
They are just trying to do their best. There will always be someone who is targeted, but I said it on the spur of the moment.
I apologized. To be honest, I don’t remember exactly what I said to him (about the warning). I'm not sure if I said anything that might have offended him, but if so, I apologized for it.
I respect him as a chair umpire. Sometimes, in the heat of the moment, you feel like unfair things are happening."
