Melzer believes in Djokovic for 2025: "We'll see him fight to win every Grand Slam title".
A former Austrian player who reached world No. 8 in 2011, Jürgen Melzer remains close to the world of tennis.
In an interview with Tennisnet, the former French Open semi-finalist talks about Novak Djokovic's ambitions for 2025.
"The association with Andy Murray is incredible, it's something extremely positive for tennis.
In addition to the headline-grabbing news, I really think Andy can help Novak, because few players have his IQ on the court.
Even a legend like Djokovic can learn a lot from him. There are always things to improve on, and he can talk to Murray about a lot of subjects and look him straight in the eye.
It could be an exciting collaboration," says the 43-year-old.
"Novak has to train differently, more intelligently than when he was 30. He can't put the same workload on himself.
He needs to take the time to choose the aspects of his game that he needs to improve. A body at his age regenerates at a different speed.
That's also why he decided to include Murray in his team. He can be a source of motivation, breathing new life into his training sessions.
For Nole, it will be a question of performing well in the Grand Slam. If he loses in the Masters 1000, it won't be dramatic for him.
I think that in 2025, we'll see him fighting to win all the Grand Slam titles," concludes Melzer.
Sinner and Alcaraz both defend as well and both hit harder. Novak will go deep into the Slams but will continue to be shut out by them. They are no longer intimidated by him.
