Struff on the Djokovic-Murray collaboration: When I heard the news, it made me smile.

One of the curiosities of the start of the 2025 season on the ATP circuit will undoubtedly be the partnership between Novak Djokovic and Andy Murray.

The Serb, who is clearly keen to triumph again in a Grand Slam after a blank 2024 at this level, has called on the Scot.

The two former world No. 1s will work together, and the two-time Olympic singles champion will become Djokovic's coach, at least until the Australian Open.

Numerous tennis personalities reacted to the announcement. Among them, Jan-Lennard Struff.

The 34-year-old German seems thrilled by the pairing, and took the opportunity to name his ideal coach: "I think it's something incredible.

Andy is an idol and it's great to see them working together. It's a nice message. When I heard the news, it made me smile because it's a good thing for tennis.

Personally, if I had to choose a coach, I would have liked to have had Pete Sampras because he was an offensive player who went to the net a lot.

He liked to volley serves. I like his style of play and I'd learn a lot from him," he told Sky Sports.
