Men's quarterfinals and women's semifinals on the schedule this Thursday in Madrid

This Thursday, May 1st, the lineup in Madrid will once again be packed. The women's semifinal matchups and the men's quarterfinals will take place by tonight, with four matches to follow on the Manolo Santana Court.

Kicking off the day at 1 PM, Casper Ruud and Daniil Medvedev will battle for the first semifinal spot, followed by the women's tournament clash between Coco Gauff and Iga Swiatek at 4 PM.

In the evening session, Lorenzo Musetti will take on the Canadian rising star Gabriel Diallo. Finally, world No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka will compete for a fourth final in five years in the Spanish capital.

After her victory over Marta Kostyuk, the Belarusian will face another Ukrainian player, Elina Svitolina, who has reached the semifinals of a WTA 1000 event for the first time in four years.

On the Arantxa Sanchez Vicario Court, Francisco Cerundolo will challenge Jakub Mensik at 3 PM, right after a doubles tournament match. Shortly after, Jack Draper and Matteo Arnaldi will also take the court to complete the day's singles lineup.
