Victorious in Miami against Djokovic (7-6, 7-6), Mensik won his first major career title at just 19 years old.
It took the Czech only 63 matches to reach his first Masters 1000. This is a very low number, making Mensik one of the players with the fewest matches played on the main circuit before winning a Masters 1000 or a Grand Slam.
This ranking has been considered since the creation of the Masters 1000 (1990-2025).
He ranks third behind Kuerten (41 matches until Roland Garros 1997) and Carretero (27 matches until Hamburg 1996).
The Prostějov native surpasses the four-time Grand Slam winner Alcaraz, with 65 matches until Miami 2022, and Tsonga, with 69 matches until Bercy 2008.
