Millman: "I was one of the players who defended Halep. But I also think Sinner and Swiatek are innocent."
In an interview with Tennis Temple, John Millman spoke about the various doping cases involving Jannik Sinner, Iga Swiatek and Simona Halep.
The Australian says he understands Halep's annoyance, although he believes that Sinner and Swiatek are innocent: "I sincerely believe that Swiatek and Sinner are not at fault.
I don't think they knowingly took a banned substance. The quantities were so minute that they didn't improve performance.
So I think we should show them some leniency. I understand the players who feel that their case wasn't heard quickly enough.
In fact, I was one of the players who supported Halep on social networks. I really sympathize with players like that, but I really believe that Iga and Jannik are innocent."
