Mladenovic Announces Withdrawal from Roland-Garros: "It is with great sadness that I will miss this edition"

Kristina Mladenovic, ranked 272nd in singles and 23rd in doubles, will not participate in the 2025 edition of Roland-Garros.
With just under three weeks before the start of the tournament at Porte d'Auteuil, the French player announced her withdrawal on social media due to an injury that has kept her off the courts for the past two months:
"As you may have noticed, I have been unable to play for the past two months due to an injury. It is with a heavy heart that I announce I will not be competing at Roland-Garros this year.
Since my debut in 2008, I have always been fortunate to play in this tournament, which means so much to me. And it is with great sadness that I will miss this edition.
Unfortunately, this injury has been lingering for some time. Even though the recovery process can be long and frustrating, my priority is to heal properly so I can return at 100% and, most importantly, pain-free.
My technical and medical teams are by my side every day, and I remain determined to come back stronger. I will keep you updated as soon as possible. And I hope to be back on the court once I have fully recovered.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your support and messages. I miss you, and I can’t wait to see you again!"
Among her achievements at Roland-Garros, Mladenovic reached the singles quarterfinals in 2017. She also won the doubles title four times—twice with Caroline Garcia (2016 and 2022) and twice with Timea Babos (2019 and 2020).
