Monfils on Svitolina's title in Rouen: Very happy and proud of my wife for her victory

Elina Svitolina won the WTA Rouen title this Sunday by defeating Olga Danilovic (6-4, 7-6) in the final.

The Ukrainian had mentioned yesterday that her husband, Gaël Monfils, had promised to attend the tournament final if she qualified.

True to his word, the French player came to watch his wife triumph on the Norman clay and was able to pose with her during the trophy ceremony.

On his Instagram account, he posted a photo with the caption: "Very happy and proud of my wife for her victory in Rouen. Congratulations, my love."
