Monnet advances from qualifications and will play in the main draw at Roland-Garros
Carole Monnet qualified this Thursday for the main draw at Roland-Garros, after a two-set victory (6-4, 6-4) over Kristina Dmitruk, ranked 221st in the world.
The French player, who had been convincing in the first two rounds of these qualifications by defeating Petra Martic (2-6, 7-5, 7-5) and Fiona Ferro (7-5, 6-2), demonstrated her solidity on the Suzanne-Lenglen court by achieving five breaks during the match.
At 23 years old, she will compete in the second main draw of her career at Roland-Garros. In 2022, she was defeated in the first round by Karolina Muchova.
