Moorhouse, Director of ITIA: "We don't want players to be afraid, we want them to pay attention".
The year 2024 closes with many controversies surrounding doping.
The Director of ITIA, the International Tennis Integrity Agency, Karen Moorhouse, spoke to Tennis365.
She says: "It's about finding the right balance. We don't want players to be afraid, but we do want them to be aware.
The anti-doping code imposes major responsibilities on players. It requires you to take precautions to make sure you don't breach it.
If one of the results of the cases we've seen this year is that it's made players sit up, take a break and think about the supplements they're taking, then that's a good result.
WADA's list of banned products is updated every year, and these are generally not fundamental changes.
The list has been in place for some time now."
