Moutet reaches first grass-court final of his career in Mallorca

Corentin Moutet is just one step away from claiming his very first title on the main tour.

The Frenchman, ranked 83rd in the world, managed to outplay Alex Michelsen in the semifinals with a 6-4, 7-6 victory. He relied on 22 winners and strong clutch play, saving eight break points on his serve.

For his second ATP final after Doha in 2020—and his very first on grass—Moutet will face Tallon Griekspoor. The Dutchman had earlier defeated Félix Auger-Aliassime (6-4, 6-4).
