Over the past five years, I've gone through a lot of states," Moutet savors his qualification for the Majorca tournament final

Corentin Moutet qualified for the ATP 250 final in Majorca after defeating Alex Michelsen.
At 26 years old, he will attempt to win his first career title on the main circuit after a first failure five years ago in Doha. Comfortable on the Spanish grass this week, Moutet shared his feelings in statements relayed by L'Équipe:
"The most important thing was to focus on myself and stay in my zone. He's a great player, very aggressive. I needed to play long so he wouldn't come to the net and put me in a defensive position. I struggled a bit with my passing shots, but I'm happy. I needed to try to maintain control in the rally, hit a lot of first serves.
I'm raising my level each day and I feel good in my body. We need to try to honor all the teamwork to offer this first title. It was a goal to reach a final again. Over the past five years, I've gone through a lot of states. After Covid, I struggled a lot against injuries. It was frustrating. But my team and those close to me always believed in me.
I remember a match against Griekspoor (whom I will play in the final) where I was sick and still went on the court. He destroyed me. I hope it will be different tomorrow in the final.
