Moutet Stopped by Dimitrov at Wimbledon
Despite his strong momentum on grass, Moutet couldn't find the answers against Dimitrov in the second round of Wimbledon. In a tightly contested match throughout, the Frenchman faltered in the crucial moments, falling in four sets (7-5, 4-6, 7-5, 7-5).
Injured in his last four Grand Slams, Dimitrov held firm this time to secure his second Major victory of the season, his 16th on the tour. A grass-court specialist, he shone with his net play (88 approaches) and aggression (64 winners).
This also marks his 7th qualification for the tournament's third round. After defeating Nishioka and Moutet, he will face the winner of the match between Paul and Ofner for a spot in the round of 16.
