Moutet withdraws from Bucharest tournament: "I don't feel mentally ready after the Miami incident"
The ATP 250 tournament in Bucharest, taking place from March 31 to April 6, will proceed without Corentin Moutet. The French player has decided to withdraw as he does not feel mentally prepared.
"Unfortunately, I've decided to withdraw from the Bucharest tournament. I don't feel mentally ready after the incident in Miami.
Thank you for your understanding, I look forward to coming back stronger."
For context, Moutet had been subjected to a hostile atmosphere in Miami during his match against Alejandro Tabilo.
He lamented the criticism and insults during and after the match, admitting: "Saying it didn't affect me would be a lie."
