Mpetshi Perricard Falls Early at Queen's Against Nakashima

Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard made his debut at Queen's this Tuesday, a tournament where he had made a name for himself last year by eliminating Ben Shelton in the first round.
Unfortunately for the Frenchman, he didn’t find the same success this year and was knocked out in the opening round by Brandon Nakashima.
The match had started well for him, as he took the first set in a tie-break after saving three set points, two of which came in that tie-break.
However, the tie-break in the second set wasn’t as fortunate for him, with Nakashima winning it 7-5.
In the third set, Mpetshi Perricard had three break points in the fifth game but failed to convert them. He ultimately lost 6-7, 7-6, 6-4.
In the second round, the American will face Dan Evans, who defeated Frances Tiafoe.
