"This court deserves to bear your name," Draper praises Murray at Queen's

Seeded number 2 at Queen's, Jack Draper perfectly launched his campaign in London. The world's 6th ranked player had no difficulty eliminating Jenson Brooksby (6-3, 6-1) and thus continues his journey in this ATP 500 on grass.
After his victory, the Brit, who will face Alexei Popyrin for a place in the quarter-finals, had words of praise for Andy Murray, who lent his name to the central court of the tournament after his retirement in August 2024 at the Paris Olympic Games.
"It's true that I just won my first match on the Andy Murray Arena. I just can't get rid of this guy! Andy is an incredible guy. He has been a huge inspiration to me. Honestly, I wouldn't be here without him today.
I remember coming here when I was younger, I saw him win this tournament several times (5 times in total in 2009, 2011, 2013, 2015, and 2016). He is a wonderful person, it's really worth getting to know him.
I miss him on the circuit, without a doubt. But at the same time, I hope to see him again soon. Who knows? Thank you, Andy, this court deserves to bear your name, that's for sure," Draper elaborated after his first-round victory against Brooksby according to The Tennis Letter.
