Mpetshi Perricard withdraws from Eastbourne one week before Wimbledon
Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard's grass season has so far fallen short of expectations.
Eliminated in the second round in Stuttgart and in his opening match at Queen's, the Frenchman has decided to withdraw from the Eastbourne tournament, where he was the No. 7 seed. He had been drawn to face Cameron Norrie in the first round. Norrie will now play his compatriot Billy Harris instead.
Mpetshi Perricard will therefore arrive at Wimbledon low on confidence, with the pressure of defending a Round of 16 result.
