Müller defeated by Rune, Zverev advances: results of the night in Toronto
Alexander Zverev kicked off this Thursday night session in Toronto against Matteo Arnaldi.
Although he had a break lead in the first set, the German lost the first set in a tie-break, 7 points to 5.
However, Zverev managed to recover by breaking his opponent at the start of the second set and ultimately won 6-7, 6-3, 6-2.
He will face Francisco Cerundolo, who defeated Tomas Martin Etcheverry, in the next round.
As for Alexandre Müller, he faced Holger Rune. Unfortunately for him, he could not hold up against the Dane.
He lost 6-2, 6-4, without having a single break point. Rune will meet the defending champion, Alexei Popyrin, who defeated Daniil Medvedev with a score of 5-7, 6-4, 6-4, in the next round.
