Müller: "I'll be careful not to play too much in the coming weeks and focus on the Masters 1000"
Alexandre Müller started his campaign at the Monte-Carlo Masters 1000 with a win over Argentina's Camilo Ugo Carabelli.
Pleased with his performance, he spoke about his schedule management during the press conference: "If you look at my quarterfinal in Marrakech, you can see I didn’t have much energy left.
It was a gamble to go there, and I won one match. I was among the top four seeds, so I knew I could pick up some points.
I wanted to take it match by match, but I was a bit tired when I arrived in Marrakech. Today, though, I managed to bounce back.
I’m happy, and I’ll be careful not to play too much in the coming weeks, even though I’ll have to compete in Munich and the Masters 1000 events.
But I won’t be playing Challengers like Aix-en-Provence or others. I’ll focus on the Masters 1000."
In the next round, Müller will face Daniil Medvedev.
