Musetti after his tough first round in Monte-Carlo: "We absolutely have to raise the level"
Musetti won his first-round match in Monte-Carlo against China's Bu in three sets (4-6, 7-5, 6-3). After a hard-fought battle, the Italian advanced to the second round, where he will face Lehecka.
Speaking to Sky Sport, the world No. 15 reflected on his challenging match:
"I didn’t play my best tennis today. I really struggled, especially with my forehand. I think my frustrations were clear on the court. I couldn’t move the ball the way I wanted to or the way I should have.
It was something that annoyed me and made me rush at the start of the match. I was good at turning around a tough match, but to go further, we absolutely have to raise the level."
