Musetti: "ATP Finals? I Hope No One Spoils My Party"
Just days before the ATP Finals, Lorenzo Musetti hopes to secure his spot for Turin and is keeping an eye on his direct competitors.
The stage is set: Paris, the last major event before the ATP Finals. For Lorenzo Musetti, 23, this tournament is the final turn towards his Italian dream. Currently leading the race for qualification, with about a 500-point lead (480) over Felix Auger-Aliassime, the young man knows his destiny is in his own hands.
"The Masters would be the icing on the cake. I just hope no one comes to spoil my party. Nevertheless, I feel the respect from my opponents, and that makes me proud. You earn it over time, with work and results. I'm still young, but I already feel like a veteran on the tour," he added in an interview relayed by Tennis World Italia.
For his debut in the Paris Masters 1000, Musetti will face his compatriot Sonego (World No. 45).
