Musetti on Moutet: "He's a very tough player having a fantastic season"
Lorenzo Musetti overcame Corentin Moutet this Friday in the quarterfinals of the ATP 500 in Vienna.
Musetti is regaining his form at the end of the season.
Still in the race to play in the ATP Finals, the Italian managed to clear the Corentin Moutet hurdle (6-3, 6-4) in the quarterfinals of the ATP 500 tournament in Vienna. Before facing Alexander Zverev for a spot in the final, the world number 8 discussed his opponent of the day, Corentin Moutet, after his victory.
"Reaching the semifinals here in Vienna is a wonderful feeling. The crowd supported me a lot, not only tonight, but throughout the week. Today, it was a really tough battle.
Unlike yesterday, today the crowd stayed until the end, the stadium was full, I really enjoyed the atmosphere. Corentin (Moutet) is a very tough player, he's having a fantastic season.
Today, the key was serving very well in the key moments, I think that helped me control the rallies with my forehand afterwards. It was what I needed to do, and it worked.
I obviously expect a great battle tomorrow (today). Sascha (Zverev) is a very complete player, we all know him, he's someone who loves these indoor conditions, he has even won this tournament in the past," elaborated Musetti for Punto de Break.
