Musetti reflects on his match against Auger-Aliassime in Miami: "I fought hard after so many third-round losses"

Musetti advanced to the Round of 16 in a Masters 1000 for the first time this season by defeating Auger-Aliassime (4-6, 6-2, 6-3).

Securing his first win against a top-20 player, the Italian triumphed in a hard-fought battle. In an interview shared by SuperTennis, the 23-year-old reflected on his victory after a mixed start to the season:

"Today was an important match. We showed some great tennis. Felix played an incredible first set with very high first-serve percentages.

After that, I think I found more rhythm from the baseline and understood his game better. I fought hard after so many third-round losses.

I struggled to be aggressive, and now I’m happy and proud of this win."

Musetti will face Djokovic in the Miami Open Round of 16.
