‘My answers won’t change,’ says Swiatek on the lack of parity in night sessions

Swiatek reassured herself with her entry into Roland-Garros against Sramkova (6-3, 6-3). Present at the press conference, the Polish player responded to journalists on various topics, notably regarding the scheduling of women's matches. Indeed, many criticize the lack of parity in night sessions:

‘No, I understand. But I am not the one who makes the schedule. Every year, we talk about it. My position hasn’t changed. I like playing during the day. So I’m glad to have finished and to be able to rest longer. On the other hand, people try to find things that aren't equal between men and women. You can find that in the schedule and you can ask us questions all the time. Honestly, my answers won’t change. It doesn’t bother me.’

The media outlet Tennis Up To Date recently discussed the figures from the latest editions, mentioning that in 2022 and 2023, 90% of the night matches were played on the main court, and 100% in 2024.
