Nadal: "I'm still recovering the things I lost after my major surgery"
Rafael Nadal was a little more reassured this week on the clay of Bastad, reaching his first final since winning the French Open in 2022. The Spaniard is therefore delighted to have been able to string together a string of matches and victories, less than a week before the start of the Paris Olympic Games. He knows, however, that he still has a lot of work to do to regain the sensations he enjoyed before undergoing hip surgery.
Rafael Nadal: "It's always good to be back in the final. I've won four matches in a row, something I've been unable to do for the last two years. There's been a lot going on and I'm still recovering a lot of things I lost after my major hip operation almost a year ago.
So it's not that easy, but I'm fighting. I fought hard throughout the tournament to get to the final, and I've improved a lot on the court. I'm happy about that. It means a lot to me."
