Kei Nishikori announced on his X account (formerly Twitter) his withdrawal from the Miami Masters 1000.

Set to face his compatriot Nishioka in the first round, the Japanese player will not compete in Florida.

He had reached the semifinals and was defeated in two sets by the eventual winner Fonseca (6-3, 6-3).
