Norrie replaces Tabilo in the main draw at Madrid, Mannarino to compete in qualifying

Alejandro Tabilo, who suffered a left wrist injury during the Monte-Carlo Masters 1000—where he notably defeated Novak Djokovic—is expected to miss the next few weeks of competition. Unable to secure his spot in Madrid, he will likely also be absent in Rome and may skip Roland-Garros.

In any case, the organizers of the Mutua Madrid Open have already confirmed the withdrawal of the Chilean, ranked 31st in the world, for the 2025 edition. Cameron Norrie benefits from the 27-year-old's absence in the Spanish capital to enter the main draw.

As a result of the Brit's inclusion in the main draw, Adrian Mannarino, now ranked 124th in the ATP rankings, will enter the qualifying rounds and attempt to win the two required matches to participate in the tournament.

I propose the following changes to the rules:

1...a walķover will not be a loss. We have no control of player's health. If he or she is entered in a contest we expect them to play.

2...an incomplete match is not a loss. If a player forfeits we pick another match if there are more to choose.

3...this also applies if TT cancels a match. TT will not take hours to decide an outcome.
