Norrie Secures Another Wimbledon Quarterfinal by Withstanding Jarry's Comeback

Cameron Norrie will compete in the Wimbledon quarterfinals for the second time in his career after 2022, when he even reached the semifinals of the tournament.
The Brit, who was flirting with a drop outside the top 100 in May (ranked 91st), rediscovered his best form just in time for Wimbledon. After defeating Bautista Agut, Tiafoe, and then Bellucci, Norrie faced Nicolas Jarry—another surprise contender in the draw—for a spot in the quarterfinals.
The match was extremely tight, and despite Jarry firing 103 winners and 46 aces, he ultimately fell in five sets after 4 hours and 26 minutes of play (6-3, 7-6, 6-7, 6-7, 6-3). The Chilean may rue his lack of efficiency on break points (0/8).
Norrie, despite a scare as Jarry leveled the match at two sets apiece, held firm and sealed victory with a stunning match-winning shot before celebrating on Court No. 1. In the quarterfinals, the world No. 61 will face either Carlos Alcaraz or Andrey Rublev.
