Noskova responds to insulting messages about her late mother: "I hope you find compassion in your heart"
Linda Noskova was eliminated in the third round of the WTA 1000 in Rome, defeated by world No. 7 Mirra Andreeva in straight sets (6-1, 7-5).
As unfortunately happens to players after a loss, the Czech received hateful messages on her social media. Some of them clearly involved her mother, who passed away last year just before Wimbledon.
Affected by these messages and with Mother’s Day being celebrated on Sunday in various parts of the world, she decided to speak out on Instagram:
"To everyone who mentioned my mother on this Mother’s Day, I hope one day you find compassion in your heart."
