"Nothing is impossible": Venus Williams opens the door to the Los Angeles 2028 Olympics

Discreet about her plans, Venus Williams ignited fans' imaginations with a phrase: "Nothing is impossible." The champion does not rule out playing in the Los Angeles Olympics at... 48 years old.
Briefly back on the WTA circuit to play part of the US tour, Venus Williams, 45, ended her summer with a record of one win and three losses.
At the US Open, the seven-time Grand Slam winner gave Karolina Muchova a run for her money by taking a set, although she was unable to maintain the momentum.
Still as discreet about her future plans, the elder Williams sister told Parade that she might aim to participate in the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles:
"I would need to keep the necessary motivation to stay on the court for that long, but we'll see. Nothing is impossible."
In July in Washington, Venus Williams became the oldest player to win a match since Martina Navratilova, who won in the first round at Wimbledon in 2004 at the age of 47.
