Naomi Osaka will face Victoria Mboko in the Montreal final. In a press conference, a journalist told her that the Canadian had said a few years ago that the Japanese player was her idol.

Osaka responded: "I don't think that has ever happened before. I'm in shock (laughs). No, I mean, that's really cute.

I guess I'll have to adopt a really good attitude tomorrow. I can't afford for her not to like me anymore.

It's funny because I used to watch her on television and quietly thought, 'That's my little twin,' because we both have our blue dresses, buns, and all the rest.

Yes, I mean, I'm really honored. I've always said that I would love to play someone who admires me in some way, so it's happening much sooner than I thought.
