Opelka withdraws from Dallas tournament, Nishikori enters the draw

The Dallas tournament will be one of the two tournaments to watch on the ATP circuit next week, along with Rotterdam. With just a few hours to go before the draw for the 2025 edition, the cast is still in a state of flux.

Reilly Opelka was announced as a participant, but was forced to withdraw at the last minute.

The American giant had made a remarkable comeback in Brisbane, eliminating Novak Djokovic in the quarters and reaching the final, where a sore wrist prevented him from giving his all.

Jenson Brooksby, who returned to the Australian Open at the beginning of the year after several months' absence, is another player who will not be present.

Kei Nishikori is one of the players taking advantage of these forfeits. The Japanese, who has made a fine start to the season with a final in Hong Kong before the first Grand Slam of the season, enters the main draw directly.

Now ranked 70th in the world, the 2014 US Open finalist also contested the second round in Melbourne before losing to Tommy Paul. Rinky Hijikata and Taro Daniel will also be present in the American city.
